From the Valley Courier (Ruth Heide): “The Alamosa city council is preparing to raise sewer rates to more than double the current monthly rate over a three-year period. The biggest proposed increase will occur this year when the average resident’s city utility bill will go up by about $5 with proposed increases of another $4 each year during 2010 and 2011. The city council this month asked Alamosa Public Works Director Don Koskelin to put together a resolution reflecting the proposed increases and bring it back to the council for action.”
