From the National Weather Service Grand Junction office:
A series of short waves (shown in the yellow circles) in a fast westerly flow will cause unsettled conditions today through Sunday. Periods of showers including light high mountain snow are anticipated along with a gradual downturn in temperatures. Breezy afternoons are also expected during this unsettled period. A stronger storm system will drop down from the northwest Monday into Tuesday bringing the potential for significant mountain snowfall, a mix of precipitation in the valleys and much colder temperatures.
