From The Denver Daily News:

Local Denver Aveda salons are hosting a four-mile walk today from 9 to 11 a.m. to bring awareness of the need for local and global action to protect local waterways, promote organic farming, empower communities and help make clean water accessible to everyone. The Aveda Walk for Water calls on the company’s network of salons and community members in a series of 100+ walks around the world. All proceeds from this walk will go to Global Greengrants Fund. Denver’s walk begins at the Aveda Institute Denver, on 16th Street Mall between Stout and California. The walk will lead participants to the capitol, towards Little Raven and a walk along the Platte River. For more information or to donate to Aveda’s 11th annual Earth Month, visit www.aveda.yourcause.com or http://www.greengrants.org.
